Commander's Corner

Greetings, fellow Legionnaires!

As we begin another American Legion year, I want to thank each of you for the trust and confidence you have placed in me to continue serving as your Commander. It is truly an honor to lead Post 276, and I look forward to another year of working alongside our outstanding officers, volunteers, Auxiliary, SAL, Legion Riders, and dedicated members.

Over the past several months, our Post has continued to grow stronger because of the commitment and generosity of our members. From honoring our fallen heroes during the Memorial Day ceremony to hosting successful events and supporting our veterans and local community, Post 276 continues to demonstrate what it means to live the values of The American Legion.

I am excited about the improvements taking place throughout our Post. We continue to invest in our facilities, modernize our operations, and create a welcoming environment for our members and guests. Thanks to the generous contribution from our Auxiliary Unit, we were able to repaint the entire Post. In the coming weeks, we will also be replacing the carpet in the entryway. These improvements reflect my ongoing commitment to maintaining a Post that every member can be proud to call home.

Membership remains one of our highest priorities. If you have not yet renewed your membership, I encourage you to do so as soon as possible. Your membership dues help support the programs and services that make a difference in the lives of veterans, active-duty service members, their families, and our community. Just as importantly, I ask each of you to invite an eligible veteran to join our Post. Every new member strengthens our organization and ensures that our mission continues for future
generations.

As we move through the summer, we have many exciting events planned. I encourage you to stop by the Lounge, attend our meetings, participate in our activities, and volunteer whenever you can. Whether you have an hour to spare or can help with a larger project, your involvement makes a real difference.

Thank you for everything you do to support Post 276. Together, we will continue to build a stronger Post, serve our veterans, and make a positive impact throughout our community.
