Welcome To Howard L. Turner Post 276 Website

Founded in 1956, The Howard L. Turner Post 276 of the American Legion is located in Severn Maryland. The post was named after Private First Class Howard L. Turner raised near the town of Severn Maryland. PFC Turner was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in South Korea on March 31, 1951.


MESSAGE FROM THE COMMANDER - Update as of 3/18/2020

The governor announced that he has ordered the shutdown of all bars, restaurants, movie theaters and gyms effective 3/16/2020.  Howard L Turner Post #276 will shutdown effective 3/16/2020 at 5pm and remain closed until further notice.  I know this may be an inconvenience but your health and safety is of the up-most importance.  Please stay safe and look out for each other.

  • General Membership Meetings.
    The Post Commander is asking Legionnaires to attend our Monthly General Membership Meetings.  They happen every second Thursday of the Month at 1900hrs.  We need your support and ideas, so please join us.  Click here for our calendar of events.

    The Commander is looking to fill the Post Chaplain position.  Interested persons should contact any post official, and they will forward the information to The Commander.
